Three months ago I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. April 27th, I had my follow up appointment. I found out not only am I no longer diabetic, I am not even pre-diabetic. I am proof positive if you change your eating habits and exercise, you have a chance to reverse this disease. My thanks to Kali Edwards and crew at Baptist Health, my family and you guys for helping with encouragement and the occasional kick in the backside.
Here are the number changes from January 19th to today:
AC – 7.6 to 4.9
Weight – 326 to 276
BMI – 46.8 to 39.7
Blood pressure – 128/84 to 114/76
Waist size – 50 inches to 42 inches
Resting heart rate – 77 to 65
I have another follow up in 6 months. I expect all these numbers to improve. Don’t wait like I did. If you are overweight, then do what you need to do to change your lifestyle. It’s tough, but not impossible.
